Cleveland Chapter Featured in 2016 Local Impact Report

During the past year, ULI’s district council network continued to grow and thrive while engaging more members at the local level. What is most exciting to see is the way members have undertaken bold initiatives and innovative programming that has made an impact not just in the real estate industry, but also in their communities. In this report, you will find 24 examples from the field illustrating how members are advancing ULI’s mission on everything from workforce housing and neighborhood revitalization to building regional networks.

Perhaps most inspiring is the knowledge that this report just scratches the surface of what district council members have done and what they can do. The 45 Technical Assistance Program (TAP) panels district councils conducted in fiscal year 2016 will help guide more communities to make thoughtful development choices. The 1,900 members participating in local product councils are already sharing best practices on building thriving communities. By hosting 30 mentorship programs and reaching 3,100 students through UrbanPlan, district councils and their members are cultivating the next generation of leaders in our industry.
