Join the Urban Land Institute’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) for a monthly breakfast series featuring highlighted female guest speakers in an intimate breakfast setting. Mackenzie Makepeace, Director of Development at RMS Investment Corporation is our February speaker. This breakfast will provide women in the industry an opportunity to build meaningful relationships and gain career insights as they discuss certain topics.

Mackenzie Makepeace is the director of development at RMS Investment Corporation, a commercial real estate company managing the private real estate holdings of the Ratner Miller family. In her role Mackenzie oversees development and construction at the Van Aken District and the leasing of first-generation space.
Previously Mackenzie was the director of Strategic Initiatives and Market Research for Forest City Realty Trust, Inc., a publicly traded, national real estate developer and owner/operator with more than $8 billion in assets. Mackenzie was with Forest City for over eight years and worked in several functional areas within the company. She led Forest City’s market research group which provided decision support for the company’s operations, development and shared services organizations. She also assisted in the company’s strategic planning process, led its enterprise risk management and worked to ensure successful implementation of the company’s strategic plan.
Mackenzie earned her B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from Washington and Lee University. She is the chair of YLG/NEXT for The Urban Land Institute – Americas, a vice chair of ULI’s Commercial Retail Development Council (Blue Flight), and the governance chair of ULI Cleveland. Mackenzie and her husband, Henry, live in Shaker Heights, OH.
