    Dick Pace

    CEO, Cumberland Development, LLC

    RICHARD Y. PACE, AIA Richard Pace is a registered architect, he received his architectural degree from the University of Michigan in 1979. After graduating he worked for Dalton van Dijk Johnson Architects, which later became van Dijk Pace Westlake Architects when he became Managing Partner in 1992. Under his management the firm revenues increased from $4 million to $18 million annually. At the end of 2001, Pace sold his ownership to his Partners and founded Cumberland Development, LLC. He controls 100% of the ownership of the company. Cumberland owns and manages the Cleveland Clinic Business Operations Center in Independence, Ohio. Cumberland also owns and manages the Baker Electric Building in Cleveland, which is a tech incubator. And Cumberland manages a master lease for the historic shopping arcades in downtown Cleveland known as the 5th Street Arcades, which are retail incubators. In early 2014, the City of Cleveland selected Cumberland Development as the developer of Cleveland's Lakefront. The development will create a vibrant mixed use neighborhood, including corporate office space, retail space, over 600 residential units and a school. The development is anchored by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center and Cleveland Browns Stadium. The initial phases are complete and the final phase will begin construction in the summer of 2019. Dick lives in Cleveland with his wife, Cheri. He has a son, Alex and a daughter, Catherine. He is also a Board Member of Breakthrough Charter Schools.

    Scott Fadness

    Mayor, City of Fishers

    Scott Fadness became Fishers’ first Mayor on January 1, 2015. Since then, he has brought to life a smart, vibrant and entrepreneurial vision for the city. Fishers was named “Best Place to Live in America” by Money Magazine in 2017 and “Community of the Year” by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce in 2016. Under Scott’s leadership, Fishers has transformed into a lively, successful city that large corporate headquarters, small businesses, families and people of all ages are proud to call home. His efforts revitalizing Fishers’ downtown have been especially important to attracting and retaining professional talent from across the country. Scott’s focus on making Fishers inviting to employers large and small has resulted in new economic development records being set each year since he took office. In the last four years, there have been more than 4,900 new jobs created and $500 million in new private investment. From attracting corporate headquarters to fostering the development of homegrown companies started by entrepreneurs at Launch Fishers, the growth of good-paying jobs in Fishers is significant. Critical to attracting jobs and families to Fishers are the amenities that make a community feel like home. Scott has led efforts to strengthen city services and quality of life amenities. Some highlights include park and trail improvements, the new downtown amphitheater, the creation of Agripark – the nation’s largest urban farm, the attraction of Ikea and Top Golf and the Yard at Fishers District culinary destination and Geist Waterfront Park. Scott serves in a variety of roles to promote policies important to Fishers’ success and to support causes important to community residents. He serves on the Federal Communications Commission’s Intergovernmental Advisory Committee and Indiana’s Behavioral Health Commission. Prior to becoming Mayor, Scott served as Fishers’ Town Manager and as an adjunct professor at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He holds a master’s degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University. Scott and his wife, Aunna, have three sons, Lincoln, Hudson, and Jackson. On the weekends, you can often find them enjoying the Fishers Farmers Market and events at the Amp.

    Jim Goggan

    Director, Woolpert

    James (Jim) Goggan has over 35 years of experience in the real estate industry. He has served as the Owner’s Senior Management, Project Management, Design Management and Construction Management on a variety of project types, including office, retail, industrial, hospitality and mixed-use development. Jim currently leads Woolpert’s Commercial/Retail work as Program Director managing client needs and expanding the firm’s full design and management services nationally. His extensive management experience includes over 12 years as Vice President/Director of Architectural and Engineering of his 20 years with Simon Property Group. REPRESENTATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS Organizational Leadership  Managed the Architectural & Engineering Department of the largest U.S. publicly traded retail real estate company in a manner which resulted in the organization consistently receiving the highest level customer satisfaction scores on surveys and surpassing shareholder expectations as based on investment analyst projections.  Enhanced Department’s productivity and accountability by collaborating, developing, and managing an on-line, real time Budget and Cost Management application to track, manage, measure, and compare Costs and Schedule risks for successful Project completions.  Directed and managed internal managers for major renovation in multiple projects from conceptual design to completion with responsibility for contracts, governmental and insurance approval, construction budgets, schedules, direct multiple contracts, procurement and leadership of Team.  Routinely prepared and administered project budgets, procurement, contracting and post audit reviews to achieve project success, control costs and enhance relationships with project stakeholders. (annual design and construction up to $650 M).  Implemented design guidelines that enhanced assets values, improved traffic patterns, better accommodated customer service needs, and increased revenues, while decreasing soft and hard costs.  Collaborated with executive team to develop a Strategic Plan for S&P 500 Index organization’s asset base growth from 114 income-producing properties to 320 in 41 states and Puerto Rico within a 12-year period.  Managed design processes for expansion and renovation of numerous national and international properties which received top awards for excellence in design and development from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Superior Achievement in Design and Imaging (SADI).     Joshua Pollard

    Managing Partner, President & CEO, Omicelo

    Joshua is a real estate expert and Chief Executive Officer of Omicelo, a mission-driven real estate investment firm. The mission of Omicelo is Home | Health | Wealth. Prior to founding Omicelo, Joshua led US housing research for Goldman Sachs from 2009 to 2013. He spent the previous five years as a critical member of Goldman Sachs’ universal research team that found equity capital markets opportunities in the real estate, engineering, and construction industries. During his time at Goldman Sachs Joshua led research of a $1 billion real estate IPO and received numerous awards including an addition to Forbes’ 30 under 30 list as he was the youngest person in Goldman Sachs’ history to lead an equity research practice. During the year between founding Omicelo and Goldman Sachs Joshua built a psychology-based investment strategy to drive $100 million of real estate capital investments for Pine River Capital Management in New York City. In addition to chairing the board of Omicelo Cares, the education-based nonprofit affiliated with Omicelo, Joshua is a board member for companies that are building entrepreneurs, supporting communities, and creating a 21st century workforce. This community-enhancing work earned Joshua an invitation to the White House to receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award among other awards and recognitions. Joshua, an avid writer, also contributes to Forbes.com on real estate.

    Chad Kiner

    Managing Director, Walker & Dunlop

    Bringing two decades of capital markets and debt and equity placement experience, Chad Kiner, Managing Director, joined Walker & Dunlop in January 2020 as part of the MSF Real Estate Capital acquisition. Mr. Kiner serves as a co-head of the company’s Ohio Capital Markets practice and focuses on sourcing and structuring financing for all commercial real estate asset classes nationally. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Kiner served as Senior Vice President of loan production at MSF Real Estate Capital where he specialized in real estate debt and equity placement. Mr. Kiner assisted his clients in securing well over $250 million annually in debt and equity transactions. He joined MSF in 2010 as Assistant Vice President, focused on supporting upper management in the origination of new lending opportunities for property types, including multifamily, retail, industrial, office, mixed-use, and hospitality. Prior to joining MSF, Mr. Kiner was an asset and portfolio manager at Exel, Inc., where he managed 300 owned and/or leased industrial buildings in the continental United States. Previously, Mr. Kiner was on the project team at Developers Diversified Realty, working on a $2.2 billion acquisition of over 100 retail properties purchased from Benderson Development. In 2005, he joined Collateral Mortgage Capital where he participated in financing activities on industrial, office, retail and multifamily properties as a Real Estate Analysis/Assistant Loan Officer. Mr. Kiner graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in business with an emphasis in finance and real estate. Mr. Kiner furthered his education at the University of Florida where he earned a Master’s Degree in real estate.

    Eric Larson

    Downtown Detroit Partnership

    ERIC B. LARSON In mid-2014, Mr. Larson took over the role of CEO of The Downtown Detroit Partnership; an organization whose board he has been a member of since 1995. The Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) is a private/public partnership of corporate and civic leaders that supports advocates and develops programs and initiatives that create a clean, safe, and inviting Downtown Detroit community. DDP is involved with a large number of enterprises within Downtown Detroit. The Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone (BIZ) is a special assessment district formed by property owners that provides cleaning, safety and landscaping services. Examples include safety and security initiatives such as Project Lighthouse and Clean Downtown, which provides litter and graffiti removal and landscape maintenance. The Detroit 300 Conservancy is a subsidiary of the Downtown Detroit Partnership and raised more than $20 million to create, design and construct Campus Martius Park. Opening in 2004, the park was the recipient of the first ever 2010 Urban Land Institute’s Amanda Burden Open Space Award. It has more than 2 million annual visitors and stimulated an estimated $1 billion in new investments downtown. The Conservancy is also activating, improving and programming three other historic downtown parks and public spaces including Grand Circus Park, Capitol Park and Paradise Valley’s Beatrice Buck Park. Another of DDP’s initiatives is the Detroit Experience Factory (DXF), which is a physical storefront, open six days a week, in the heart of downtown Detroit, that connects people to resources that help them live, work and engage in the city. Eric is also the founder, president, and chief executive officer of Larson Realty Group (established in 1999), a privately owned, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan based company engaged in real estate investment, development, asset management and leasing.     Geoff Milz

    Township Administrator Director of Economic Development, Colerain Township

    Geoff Milz is a navigator and community builder trained in urban planning and economic development. He is passionate about the development and execution of innovative policies and projects that make places better for people. Driven by a desire to forge new pathways in the provision of service by local government he aspires to serve as thought leader, innovator and passionate cheerleader for creating and maintaining special places. He currently serves as the Township Administrator for Colerain Township, Hamilton County’s second-largest community.

    Kelli Lawrence

    CEO, Onyx + East

    Kelli serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Onyx + East, an urban and surban homebuilder serving the Midwest and Southeast. Onyx + East builds a variety of housing types in the most desirable urban, infill, walkable neighborhoods in the markets it serves. Prior to joining Onyx + East, Kelli was one of the principal partners of Cityscape Residential, playing a key role in the development of approximately 3500 multifamily units, valued around $600 million, in multiple markets throughout the Midwest. She previously worked in the public sector, serving as the long range planner for the City of Carmel, IN, where she worked on special planning districts, corridor and neighborhood plans, thoroughfare planning, and redevelopment areas. Throughout her career, her accomplishments have been recognized in various media outlets, including Indianapolis Woman Magazine and multiple Indiana University Kelley School of Business publications, and by Ball State University. Kelli received her undergraduate degree from Ball State University and she received her MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Kelli previously served as Chairman of the Riley Society Advisory Committee of the Riley Hospital Children’s Foundation, an active member of the Urban Land Institute, Multifamily Product Council member (Silver Flight), and currently serves as the Governance Chair for ULI Indiana. Ms. Lawrence currently serves as the Chair for the Ball State University Alumni Council.

    Chris Dobrozsi

    Executive Vice President, Real Estate Development, Neyer Properties, Inc.

    Chris has more than 30 years of experience in the development and construction of mixed-use, Class A office, medical office, retail, residential and industrial real estate. Utilizing his past roles in architecture, construction, estimating, land development, vertical development and leasing, Chris has lead the development of several high quality projects in the Greater Cincinnati region including The Baldwin redevelopment, Linden Pointe on the Lateral and dunnhumby at 444 West Third and has been an active development partner in several others including Keystone Parke, USquare @ The Loop and Cornerstone at Norwood. Chris leads the vision setting and development/redevelopment for Neyer Properties, Inc. land and building portfolio. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering and an Associates’ degree in Civil Construction Engineering, both from the University of Cincinnati.

    Deena Fox

    Principal, ROSSETTI

    Deena leads ROSSETTI’s multidisciplinary A/E teams on design and planning projects of built developments ranging in scale from the USTA National Tennis Center Strategic Vision Plan to community impact projects. Her collaborative approach combines two decades of experience in project management, creative industries programming, and real estate, equipping her to effectively manage diverse stakeholders while sustaining forward momentum on projects. Her belief in the value of shared vision and community participation has led her to work with regional groups on transit advocacy and urban development. Deena is a mentor in the Challenge Detroit professional development program and also oversees ROSSETTI’s participation in the University of Michigan Architecture Prep program for high school students
