ULI Cleveland Emerging Trends in Real Estate
The ULI Cleveland Emerging Trends program takes place annually at the beginning of each year. A local report written by ULI Cleveland is presented along with a national report during this event. Leading up to Emerging Trends, there are several opportunities to get involved with the report writing, data collection, and event planning. To learn more or get involved email Jack Newton, ULI Cleveland Programs Committee co-chair at [email protected]
Focus Groups
Emerging Trends Focus Groups kick off the Emerging Trends process. Volunteers get to hear anecdotal insight into what Cleveland’s commercial and residential real estate market can expect over the next year. These groups consist of 10-15 Northeast Ohio market leaders (i.e. senior positions at their firms/orgs) and volunteers will be asked to attend sessions that last about an hour and take notes while listening to the conversation. There are generally three sessions that will last from 8-9am or 12-1pm.
Emerging Trends Written Report
The written Emerging Trends report is something very unique to ULI Cleveland. We are one of a handful of district councils that produce their own report. You can find the 2022 report online here. Volunteers will be asked to take ownership of one property type and update charts while writing about a page of content pertaining to current and future trends. It is important to note that you do NOT have to have prior research background to participate in this element of Emerging Trends and all content will be done in conjunction with my oversight and guidance. We will need about 2-3 volunteers for this.
