The Cleveland District Council of the Urban Land Institute is excited to announce that it is teaming up with the City of Cleveland, Cleveland Metroparks, Port of Cleveland, and Flats Forward to host a two-day Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) on November 3-4 featuring 10 expert panelists.
A TAP provides comprehensive and strategic advice in response to a specific land use or development assignment by gathering expert panelists to work on a problem. The themes of the November 3-4 TAP focus on bulkhead management practices that can be adopted to remove barriers to private development, encourage beneficial enhancements to privately-owned riverfront properties, and enhance public access and utilization of the riverfront, while continuing to effectively service the industry in the valley. Individuals who are interested in participating in these discussions are invited to join the panelists on Wednesday, November 10 at 5:30 pm and can email [email protected] to RSVP. The TAP will conclude with a final report summarizing the panelists’ findings.
Expert panelists include Debbie Berry, Vice President of Planning and Real Estate Development with University Circle Inc.; Don Frantz, owner of Metro Consulting; Michael Antinelli, Co-Founder and Director of Brizaga; Richard Pace, CEO of Cumberland Development; Joshua Ellis, the previous Vice President of Metro Planning Council in Chicago; Alfred Geis, CEO of GeisCo, Teresa Metcalf Beasley, Member and Chair of the firm’s Public Law Group at McDonald Hopkins LLC; Tracey Nichols, Director of Financial Services at Project Management Consultants; Ken Kalynchuk, Project Director at Project Management Consultants; and Joe Ferenczy, Director of Water Resources at Osborne Engineering.
A special event will be hosted in early 2022 where ULI Cleveland and its partners will present a final report and findings from the 10 expert panelists.
The Technical Assistance Panel is a project from the ULI Cleveland Outreach Committee chaired by ULI Cleveland members and volunteers, Anthony Whitfield and Adam Saurwein. The Technical Assistance Panel subcommittee is chaired by Rich Wilden and Kirstyn Wildey with support from Arthur Schmidt and John Neely.
