Job description
Project Engineer / Project Manager / Field Engineer – General Construction

We are seeking a Project Engineer with extensive General Construction and Project Controls experience. This is a permanent position. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or a Project Manager working with large scale commercial projects and is ready to take the next step in your career.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
▪ Work at job-sites and back office to help develop and execute construction project plans.
▪ Work directly with managing RFI’s and Submittals and monitor project progress and deliver Weekly Project Reports.
▪ Assist in Managing and Supervising all phases of assigned projects.
▪ Assist in preparing and managing schedules to include pull planning sessions.
▪ Assist the Superintendent and Project Managers in the field and report construction progress to stakeholders.
▪ Estimate change orders.
▪ Assist in Negotiating all change orders and maintain change order logs.
▪ Assist in Managing project budget and approves all expenses.
▪ Contract Administration.
▪ Assist in Buyout of subcontracts & Equipment.
▪ Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.
▪ Interface with subcontractors on all projects assigned.
▪ As part of project controls, assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents.
▪ Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors.
▪ Manage project controls activities related to budget, schedule, and scope.

Job Requirements are:
▪ Solid Communication both verbal and written.
▪ High level of experience with scheduling software.
▪ Ability to establish timelines and budgets.
▪ Experience in cost estimation and negotiating.
▪ Ability to multi-task.
▪ Ability to lead productive, multi-trade meetings.
▪ Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success a must.
▪ Experience: 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager with a Construction Manager or General Contractor on projects in excess of $20 Million dollars.
▪ A Bachelor’s degree is required. Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management degrees or certifications are preferred.
